Who is more free? A man with no debt and a loving family who live within the laws of the country or a man who ignores all laws is addicted to drugs and does whatever he wants to do? Is freedom at simple as doing whatever you will? Or is it to be without need?

This question is actually very deep and there are many spins that you can put on it and come to different conclusions, it seems to me that a free man isn't controlled by impulse or by financial chains.
