Update: Facing another long drive today to see dad, but I think this time we have a resolution to the drama and trauma. A good outcome for all. He'll be safe and have all the care and attention he needs, and will be out of the home that's been falling apart around him.
After that, a whole new pile of drama starts surrounding that house and the people who trashed it, but we'll cross that pile of steaming shit later.
