what nonsense. I would rather not be surveiled at all of course, but if I am to be subject to mass surveillance, I would rather that my data was being hovered up by a government with little to no power over me than one that has the power to destroy me and my life.
This NYT Muppet confuses being the target of individual surveillance as a quasi agent of the US government with being a civilian so to speak subject to indiscriminate data collection. It is just reds under the bed propaganda that serves only to make people forget that their real enemy is their own government
