One of the things I dig about Mastodon is a bit of a slower, and more thoughtful, pace of receiving info. It allows me - us - to actually give maybe more real thought & attention to an issue, or an artist's work, or an example of social injustice that appears in our feeds

On other social networks, we are bombarded with fresh hells every 18 seconds, making us tend to react as fast as pinballs hitting bumpers, never being able to fully digest what we just read
