It’s been two years and the animal was my property. I would have been well within my rights to beat her to death with a crowbar if I so pleased.
But, out of charity and sympathy, I took her in, gave her a mat, food and water, and I let her exercise, all while giving her regular vet check ups to make sure she was relatively healthy.
I literally did nothing wrong and no one has ever been able to accuse me of a single instance of misconduct without lying and implying.
Do I have character flaws? Sure. I probably shouldn’t threaten to kill women. I probably shouldn’t tell people they’re going to Hell when Lord knows I’ve not been steady in my convictions. I probably shouldn’t curse or argue as much as I do. You can accuse me of all kinds of things, but you cannot, in good faith, accuse me of abusing an animal.
