Since 2014, the number of routine #operations (e.g. knee & hip replacements) performed by the #NHS have remained around the same level.
But, #outsourcing to private #healthcare firms has grown & grown, partly as the NHS struggles with its expanding waiting lists.
Of course, most often they're still carried out by NHS staff, working on their own time.
So, the only difference is that a private firm is extracting a profit.
This is what the #Tories want but its not really 'efficient' is it?
