Hey Mike... This should probably be a private message but whatever... I don't care. In a good mood, as I asume everyone is. So... I got my Skipper License in Thailand two summers ago. I got my scuba certification last summer. Just been saving up and waiting basically. I'm finishing my work in the middle east in two weeks and buying a sailboat, I guess in Florida after a nice little vacation. My goal is to get to Livingston, Guatemala (Río dulce). It looks nice there and I think It would be a good home base. I'll cruise the caribbean and possibly be looking for a home/bungalow as well. So I really appreciate all your information. I guess there wasn't much of a point to this except to say that I appreciate your information, I'm excited to be doing what you are doing & would be cool if one day we had a beer at some port somewhere. Keep the information coming!
What are you sailing? I'm looking for something between 35-40 feet that can be solo sailed. Do you have a furling mainsail. Can't decide if I want that or not. Been to Guatemala/Livingston? Cuba?
