What was/will be achieved by the political assassination of [insurance] CEO?
--

In 1892, when Alexander Berkman (Anarchist) shot Henry Clay Frick (Capitalist) as a retaliation for Frick using Pinkertons (hired goons) to kill workers, whole of public opinion was attempted to be turned against Berkman by so called "journalists" in Empire. These "journalists" did their best to poison the water against Anarchism & workers in general as they (being Capitalist mouthpieces) had monopoly over the information pipelines.

Mainstream "journalists" (atleast vast majority of them) of today are no different than mainstream media back then — owned by Capital, exists to serve Capital, filled with people from middle class to upper middle class backgrounds, completely disconnected from the politics of those who live at bottom of the pyramid.

But the good thing about now is this.

Mainstream media doesnt have the same legitimacy as it had back then. Also, peasants can speak to each other without mediation of ruling class propaganda pipeline aka "journalism". This time, vast majority (or atleast substantial portion of peasants) of the public are with the vigilante after the insurance demon was sent to hell, because ruling class lost control over the narrative & lost control over the minds of peasants. Mainstream "journalists" are only trying to play a catchup, interms of trying to regain narrative control using the megaphone platforms they own.

So, to those who ask:

What was/will be achieved by the political assassination of insurance CEO [who is responsible for so many deaths]?

Here are some of them

1. It normalizes & legitimizes the fact that extra-legal justice has a legitimacy of its own, far more than the legal so-called "justice", esp when it comes to those who sit at the top of the pyramid, who control what the laws are, who decides what they actually mean & who enforces them aka ruling class crooks & thugs. It exposes the nakedness of statusquo.

2. It exposes the hollowness of the problematic shitlib position of "peaceful" protests, lobbying, so called "education" (as of today, who doesnt understand this ruling-class scam of capitalism & the organized thievery it facilitates?), etc i.e it proves "non-violent" tactics are not the only legitimate tactics, if one is serious about getting the desired change in society. It proves the counterproductive nature of electoral politics (which has been a ruling class scam since its inception) whose job it is to calm the peasants down, so years to decades goes by begging ruling class to do shit & nothing is ever done about it (or) the opposite is done about it. With their usual evasion tactics of: Lets wait till next election, lets "vote harder" next time, lets write petitions/letters, lets go meet some "representatives", …, all meant to wear-down people & not achieve anything worthwhile.

3. Quickens the education process amongst peasants about who else in system are causing massive harm, as they can be a legitimate target for future vigilantes & that fear amongst ruling class ghouls will drive concessions. How do you think everyone got whatever shitty so called "rights" (these are privileges ruling class says you have, rather than you actually having them, as they decide on the scope & nature of such so called "rights")? People got serious concessions only when ruling class feared for their safety & whatever we call so called "rights" are the compromises ruling class was willing to make — as they feared far worse would happen to them, if they dont give those concessions. These tactics show to ruling class & also to rest of the peasantry that one can do more than just begging, such as taking actions that force ruling class's hand. And the longer ruling class commits crimes, the massive ruling class's crimes, the higher the likelihood they would be targeted by some random peasant on the street & make them pay for their crimes. In other words, it shows to ruling class (and other peasants) that their crimes wont be cost-free in future, unlike before.

4. Makes the whole society to pay attention to every other injustice & brings attention to all other injustices, brings the question of effectiveness of each of the tactics i.e violent & non-violent into the foreground — forcefully.

5. It makes lot of people to look beyond existing ideologies, such as non-mainstream ideologues like Anarchy to see whether it can provide good answers to the questions they all have i.e it wakes people from the deep slumber they are in. Just like how I found Anarchy when I asked difficult questions (to myself) in the past, others too will find Anarchy.

and lot more

Most importantly, it breaks the mold of existing NGO/activist way of doing things & expands the space of legitimacy as to whats a reasonable response of peasants to the crimes of those with power (who wield that power against those without it). That alone would bring lot more people to think about all new spaces that they did not pay attention to before.

An individual act might not change much, but an act can become a catalyst for peasants to realize:

Yeah, in our so called "Democracy", one have options beyond just begging ruling class. Lets explore & see where they take us.

Lets explore Anarchy!

Lets explore all sides of Anarchy, both construction & destruction, both feeding into each other.

As others have said:

The destructive part comes packaged with the constructive part too — all to build something better than before.

PS: Tho this is slightly off topic vis-a-vis Palestine, still shared it with those who care about Palestine cause too as this is has relevance to all social movements & legitimacy of various tactics.
