So I just learned something wild: some very poorly educated people may actually be scared of source code. To the point were being able look at it makes them feel unsafe using the software. Perhaps thinking that only malware contains code, and that friendly digital drugs like Instagram or tiktok contain only refined magic. Better education I think is the key.

Now, github scares me too, but probably not for the same reason. I don't trust Microsoft, and github is, rather ironically, proprietary.
