what needs to be targeted is much bigger and harder to identify. it’s this performative culture where you want to look as rebellious as possible while parroting the most system-approved beliefs. The internet has exacerbated this to extreme levels, raising irony to nauseating levels to mask sincerity. idk how to remove it without removing the internet tbh. or at least reducing our usage to that of the 90s when we sat down in the computer room to obtain some information then went back to our mostly analog lifestyle. i always wondered if we made the internet like driving, where you could get an “internet license” once you turned 18, it would mitigate a lot of the problems with mental development.
