Like in Star Trek TOS, you have a 23rd-century spacecraft with analog controls.
(Granted, a lot of revolutionary concepts that seem obvious in retrospect required decades of thought and research, but if there was anybody who made a habit of thinking far and wide, it was sci-fi writers/illustrators.)
