(This week I'm posting photos from an experiment in double exposures related to Hong Kong, the city I lived 6 years in until 2021. A friend who chose not to be named took photographs of architectural features in Hong Kong for me to use as textures with Emily, a native Hong Kong artists who agreed to model for this.)

Like in many other tropical countries, the utility network in Hong Kong is mostly external and apparent. After all, protecting pipes from freezing is not a strong consideration. As a consequence though this type of outside piping became a staple of the Hong-Kong visuals in my mind (and, I suspect, many other Hong-Kong residents). I love here how the central system aligns with Emily's spine.
