Is it "just" a blog? Or are you interested in integrated menetization? Or the SEO/marketing power behind the site? Or … ?
I mostly use self-hosted WordPress for the blog. Have been considering WriteFreely (Fediverse integration) and Hugo (more technical).
For one of the sites, we teamed together. This helps share the duties and also allows us to get at some funding opportunities more easily. And also helps motivate and maintain tempo.
