The funniest thing about this shitty Bioware game is not even the game, but that Youtube access journalists were not even aware of being in a patronage relationship.
fextralife is like
>I got flown out to play a game long before anyone else
>I got 7 hours of a special preview that I could go on to make money with
>I would then likely get a review code allowing me to play the whole game before anyone else can
>I would then likely be able to make much more money using this special privilege granted to me by Bioware
>I get all the benefits in this relationship and Bioware gets... exposure! :)
Then what Bioware obviously dislikes fextralife's first video and cuts the youtuber off
>WOAH GUYS I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING
>THIS RELATIONSHIP IS CORRUPT
>BIOWARE IS MANIPULATING REVIEWS
And even now he doesn't realize that the corruption started with the special access, and that he's corrupt himself. It's only cutting him off that's corrupt!
He didn't think some other random Youtuber might've wanted to make money with a review published before the game's out?
He thought that his special access was a natural right, like the trust fund money?
I too expect fairness and openness. I too am skeptical of relationships like this. But if you don't want to blow smoke up Bioware's ass the actually tasteful time to opt out is when Bioware invites you to the advanced screening.
