Having been kept off the student newspaper staff at Parsons, I was determined to get into the equivalent at UCR somehow. I found the student darkroom in The Barn, one of the original structures from when UCR was the UC Citrus Experiment Station, and introduced myself to the lone Associated Students photographer, Jim Warner. Jim (a capital fellow) was glad to have me on board.
