Nope, that is cultism. There are non-negotiable values like privacy.

You don't stick to some old tech which today is a government surveillance tool just because of nostalgia. You change because we use crypto currencies to get away from that government surveillance and control in the first place.

You talk about "most decentralized" but unfortunately that is a wishful thinking rather than a fact. When you look on the mining charts (where that decentralization happens), the top 4 mining pools control +80% of what is accepted as a transaction. To remember, you only need 51% to technically break the system so it is NOT the most decentralized system out there.



Again if you look on monero, the community there has enabled mining on normal CPUs by everyday users rather than professional ASIC farming. Anyone here can mine monero at home, they even went beyond that and are replacing mining pools with P2P pools.
