although i guess that's the "cool" take on things, that's not all it is though, a fad or rebellion
fwiw like a lot of trans people, i was born with a low-key intersex condition, male sexual characteristics/libido never really developed far nor had normal male hormone levels, i never really knew where to place myself
when i read trans women's experiences something really clicked into place and i felt i finally kind of understood myself and large parts of my life
and i have overall been much happier accepting that side of myself
i take estradiol but don't have much interest in breast implants or other plastic surgery, it seems a lot of that is pushed, playing on typical self-image and sometimes safety concerns, to look more feminine *because* trans women often aren't accepted otherwise
