Dear normal people, can you explain to me how you keep sane and enjoy life knowing that within 10-20 years everything you hold dear right now is gone, either due to devastating climate change, global wars on the brink of being declared by dictators all around the world (including in the US and western Europe), or a combination thereof? All I can think is, with everything I do, 'why bother?' It'll all be meaningless within our lifetimes anyway. I'd like to know how to pretend everything is fine!
