i come from music, which is built on things like jazz artists reworking pop songs, entire genres being birth on people using probably completely uncleared samples (house, hip hop, dub...), people trying to constantly rip off each others sound and bedroom producers going from 0 to world tour over striking gold with a remix or a sample they dig up from god knows where. its not perfect but it's really cool, we have such a wealth of music to listen to nowadays because of it. meanwhile twitter artists will rip each other apart because someone "copied someone else's pose"
