I watched a football game today. Actually I ate a fuck ton of fried food and desserts while the tv was on in a banquet hall.

The game didn’t interest me at all, but I couldn’t help but be struck by the intro. A woman sang a song about a flag and freedom and bravery, then an eagle, supposedly the symbol of freedom, was flown in a circle around the crowd to the crowd’s delight, then it returned dutifully to its master’s hand. Then a bunch of fighter jets buzzed the crowd.

I couldn’t think of a more apt spectacle to broadcast to the proles.
