It is hard to see the person, instead of the disease. My mom lasted almost 95 years. She was still, despite her diminishment, as tough as nails. Her generation was tempered steel. Even when my compassion ran dry, I would try to remember that to get through until my well refilled. I'd always tease her that she was my go to person in a bar fight. She could wield her cane like a Jedi, if she chose.",
