My religion teaches that the Earth is a fallen place, so anyone who feels too comfortable in their earthly vessel is somehow corrupt. Everyone with a conscience should be struggling and feeling out of place.
We are here, in other words, to shape our souls into something better by struggling against the world. And when we meet other people who are struggling, we should feel some kinship.
