Yes, there was a period of deflation in the Weimar Republic. In the 1920s, the German economy experienced Hyperinflation which led to the introduction of a new currency, the Rentenmark. This new currency allowed the German economy to stabilize and gradually led to a period of deflation. During this period, prices and wages decreased, leading to a downward spiral of decreased production and decreased demand. This period of deflation ended in the early 1930s.
