then let me throw in, the last time I fiddled with subtitles was when learning a foreign language to have two languages shown simultaneously. (One for "I didn't understand that" and one for "okay, doesn't help, what do these words mean? Help me, what's happening?")
Sadly ofc, the subtitles were not transcriptions of the dub speakers but rather translations of the English subtitles. So the matching of spoken word to subtitle was very loose (and didn't help for the former at all)
