I think often about an admitted students event I went to where a student confessed to me that she was embarrassed that she'd worn jeans, when lots of the other admits were wearing suits. I pointed to my own (super dark) jeans and reassured her she wasn't the only one. That was also the day I resolved to always wear jeans, unless the Admissions people actually specified a dress code for everyone.
