This post from the front page of Hacker News begins “Everybody hates working on legacy projects, myself included.”

Uh, I don't, I like working on legacy projects.

I consider myself primarily a maintenance programmer.

I enjoy the challenge of taking a big messy codebase and making it less messy while making it do more things. It's like wiggling out of a straitjacket.

Surely I'm not the only one?
