"content":"FWIW, it's a little early to know quite how a big a coronal mass ejection this X9 flare will yield \u0026 any ensuing space weather or aurorae at Earth.\n\nBut here's the last 12 hours or so as seen by SDO (AIA 335Å) in the centre, then SOHO LASCO C2 \u0026 C3 moving outwards.\n\nThe flare is seen at around 12:30 UTC \u0026 there's some sign of considerable CME activity soon after (but I'm no solar expert).\n\nMovie: NASA, ESA, JHelioviewer\n\n#SpaceScience\n\nhttps://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/113/244/577/841/397/894/original/805f71ef7568e881.mp4",
