As part of the new keyboard build, I'm taking the opportunity to relearn how to type from scratch, on a new layout! Which sounds weird as someone who successfully types at 120WPM on Dvorak, but I basically don't use my pinkies at all, and have a self-taught (a bit shy shy of 15 years ago when I learned Dvorak as a young teen) style that involves lots of rotation and flying around the board (in some part *because* I don't really use my pinkies much).
The new board has something like a keywell with these KLP Lame keycaps, and I have a layer that uses Engram v2.0 (https://engram.dev) as a layout. Suffice to say........ there'll be a lot of crawling as I learn proper all-fingers techniques. This is my record on the new board+layout so far. I've cracked 80+ WPM on Dvorak on this board, so the keywell hurts my speed a lot, but not nearly as much as a new layout is.
