I guess the question is whether "cultural Christians" are really doing anything to keep that culture going, or if they even really can.
I can sort of relate, but I think what a lot of us liked (or, at least, what I liked) was that sort of almost-dead Christianity, where people were sane and maybe you had to wait for the older generation to pray before digging into supper at Grandma's house. It was a golden time, and it couldn't last.
