this is true! However there are many examples where those have negative consequences as well (food quality issues, forever chemicals in water supplies, etc). In those cases it's simply not feasible for everyone to grow their own food and treat their own water but we establish governance organizations that (supposedly) advocate for the good of the people. We don't have that when it comes to our data on the internet.
