School holidays especially. Some of the most dangerous sections of my commute are schools at the start and end of the school day. It makes a huge difference to the number of cars. I try to avoid those times. In a sane world we’d keep cars away from our schools (maybe necessary drop offs and pick ups could be placed at safe parking hubs away from the school and these students could walk/scooter/bike the last few hundred metres).
