I stopped mentioning to people about using alt text for their images a long time ago now.
There are so many helps and reminders built into the interface of mastodon that you nearly need to be maliciously lazy or very dim not to be aware of the feature. so I:

- right click copy image
- middle click paste
- spend a few seconds typing
- then I click post on your image

And now it's mine! MoooHaaHAA!!!
