This is an interesting problem but very similar to an old one I was investigating some years back on Twitter.
Spam accounts tend to have a more random name, tag so many people and hastags in short time, don't have bio or profile picture, and if they are bots they are active 24/7 (normal human sleeps).
All these are nice factors to be used in spam detection.
On Twitter I had developer access, but I wonder if such thing exist on fedi to write plugins.
