Some interesting discussion at the Employment Committee meeting about how for the last decade or so, Congress has required voc rehab agencies to take account of a second customer, employers. I think this is an important issue. You’d think that with all the advances in technology, the move in general to paperless offices, we’d see substantial movement in the employment problem, but it doesn’t appear that we have. A key reason for that is one of the very core philosophies of NFB. The major problem with blindness is other people’s misperceptions of it. There has to be active work to shift those perceptions. #NFB23
