Environmental factors might have a role but I think the lack of purpose is what has made men weak.

What is the purpose of life if you grew up in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s?

Be comfortable? Have nicer things than your neighbor and have a greener lawn? Conspicuously consume more than your fellow man?

What kind of purpose is that? What type of hope is that?

And then they grow old and see it for what it is.
