Been there and I have rectified it by being thankful that I live in society with which I share some basic values of life, morality and ethics, while at the same time I find literal belief as being ridiculous.
Also I do believe that for some people (mostly young souls) it is better to have Christianity as an anchor than to be completely left to wonder in obscurity of the conciseness as uninitiated soul
