The beer is supposed to activate within a day or so... based on what I see with wine, you should (at very least) see some bubbles forming on the sides of the glass and a little bit of CO2 production starts pushing gasses out the airlock, even before it really starts going. This looked pretty much dead. I may not have been patient enough, but the extra dosing of yeast should guarantee it, I hope.
