I use an Android phone, but I don't use Gmail for my primary mail. I don't use Google Calendar. I don't use Chrome. I don't use Google Photos. I use apps from the Play store, and moving to any other ecosystem would suck if I lost those, but they're not a deal breaker. I don't like being locked in. Anywhere. Google's bad enough, but Apple is infinitely worse when it comes to lock in.
