Over on bsky I check my notifications sometimes. Unsurprisingly, my work is being featured by the typical space pic junk accounts which are already amassing a heavy following. The only thing new is now the images are being called "ai garbage" which is just depressing. Generations of scientists, engineers, designers and maintainers of all kinds to get the HST up and nearly continuously running for decades, and now people just think it's ai garbage. I mean, there were always people who thought it was fake, but they mostly still liked it. Now they hate it, too.
