It probably depends where you live, but where I am (admittedly very White), even 20 years ago cursing was not very common in public and could result in a scolding even if no children were present. If children were present, there would be a scolding.
My theory is that the advent of the smartphone changed everything: a 24/7 constant stream of filth and degeneracy authored by lesser races piped directly into young minds had its intended effect, the debasement of the culture, and now you see even older White Gen Xers cursing and engaging in other nigger rituals and habits like it's the most normal thing in the world, even though they were not raised that way.
Before smart phones, exposure to the degeneracy of black culture wasn't as immersive and pervasive. When you were out and about, you had to talk with White people around you, read a book, talk on the phone, etc. -- do White people things. Now, everyone can swim in filth all day.
