Wipe each okra and dry it well. Trim the top, but if you are leaving it whole, don't cut into the body of the okra. Cook it over high heat first, don't crowd the pan, resist stirring too much. You can eat it like this, or now put it in a curry.
Or chargrill or roast it (sliced or whole).
