I highly recommend turning off CPU boost. Its something the marketing department created. But what happens is that the CPU will boost for a few seconds maybe? It will get really warm and then it will throttle. So in the long run you dont really gain any performance. And it also makes the computer warmer, so if you are on a laptop, disabling it makes it cool and quiet. This works best on CPUs with a high base clock speed and low TDP. Not those garbage intel ones that are designed for benchmarks with a low base clock and a high boost, where you only get the performance advertised for a minute or so. They are not good CPUs.
