Here's the better image that I think I need to translate. This shows the #QMK keyboard matrix being defined with 10 rows and 6 columns. 8 are marked as not used, leaving 52. The difference between the 46 keys and the 52 matrix positions must the number of slots that the input from the trackball and the encoder need to occupy. 🧵
