There is wide consensus among those who examine & deal with child poverty that the two child ceiling on benefits is a major cause of increases in child poverty, specifically among larger families.
Rachel Reeves had a chance to end the ceiling but didn't take it & now it seems to be off any agenda & the press have moved on.
Some poverty campaigners are still trying to pressurise Labour to change, but it seems to have disappeared from the news cycle...
