Not true. Nobody runs local nodes on their phone. So when you send money, you broadcast it so a buncho of nodes who have to "authorize" it. And then the person that gets the money is connected to another remote node that tells them they got it (this las step is technically optional, but it's not often you send money to someone that doesn't have to check if they got it)
PS: the name and symbol of the coin are in my blacklist, so if you mention it, I will not see your reply
