We build our security features on top of their work. We can be much more aggressive with security features because we're willing to add configuration and sacrifice some memory, CPU cycles and compatibility for it with a toggle system for getting buggy apps working. We're also willing to deal with ironing out the OS bugs uncovered by more advanced security features.
