My Jimmy and (the late) Rosalynn Carter story:
I was at PDK airport in Atlanta doing a photo shoot on the Epps Aviation ramp when a bizjet taxied up and parked. One black SUV met the plane, and the Carters deplaned and left in the SUV. No fanfare, no red carpet, no posse of security detail, just a driver (who did look like “Secret Service” from Central Casting).
RIP Rosalynn, you and President Carter have a solid legacy that we all would be better off if we emulated.
