And yesterday evening, when we arrived for dinner, they told us that they have changed our dinner table. The restaurant receptionist asked us if they can accompany us to our new table.
When we arrived there, we knew why: they chose a table with the best view, with candle light and flowers on our table. The whole hotel knew that it was our anniversary, and not any anniversary, but the "25th" (actually, it was 26th, but long story).
We had an amazing evening, awesome dinner, perfect service and congratulations all around.
Next to us were three women: two sisters (around 40ish) and their mom (70ish). Later we learned that the three of them do this every year since their father/husband died some 14 years ago. But we learned that after one of the sisters started crying and coming over to our table, with tears in her eyes, congratulating because, as she said, "you two look so amazing, so much in love, and this still after 25 years, there so much love at your table..."
We then cheered together with glasses of cremant and took some photos. The mom couldn't hold her feelings back either, but the one sister really cried - happy tears, but still.
