What you see a lot of, in Germany, is young people who are too poor to ever own a home and too exhausted to have children, working to serve older pensioners who pushed papers around a desk for 40 years and are planning their next trip to climb the Himalayas and complaining that there needs to be more waitstaff but young people have no work ethic anymore.

I have to admit, I wonder how the Japanese get away with it. They use insane amounts of warm bodies compared to the Europeans.
OTOH, I've seen some old looking dudes at construction sites and driving cabs in Tokyo...
