Scam alert: Macy's online promises to give you a 20% discount if you open up a Macy's credit card and use it for your first purchase. However, you can't use the card until it is physically sent to you and then when you do, they will not honor their offer because they say it is only valid within 24 to 48 hours after applying for the card, and it takes at least a week to receive the card. They will tell you that the discount will be on the first statement. That is a lie.
